Workshop On Application of Softwares for Process Simulation and Equipment Design 18 to 20 Jan 2010

 (18th to 20th February 2010). Process Simulators have become an indispensable tool for design and retrofit of refineries and petrochemical plants. In the last twenty years, simulators have also become much more user-friendly and have been expanded to incorporate equipment design and costing tools. This workshop is for the teachers of AICTE approved Engineering Colleges. The objective is to expose the teachers to the Application of Softwares for Process Simulation and Equipment Design. It is also intended to address the problems involved in process modeling and simulation and to introduce some of the available process simulation packages used in Chemical Engineering. The resource persons include experts from BPCL Kochi Refinery, FEDO and renowned academicians from premier educational institutions.

STTP on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from 18th to 23rd January 2010

 This course is aimed for the teachers of both Engineering and Science stream from AICTE approved institutions. The objective is to expose teachers to various fields of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology so that they will be able to handle various subjects related to it very efficiently.

INAUGURATION OF GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

 The formal inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the College will be done by Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. V.S. Achutanandan at 10 AM on 6th May 2007 at the College Auditorium. The Revenue Minister Sri. K.P. Rajendran will preside over the function.  The 1994 B Tech Batch Chemical Engineering Alumni are planning to hand over the amount collected by their class to the Department on 6th May 2007 after the Inauguration of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations. Their contribution is meant for instituitng suitable scheme for the benefit of the students and the Department of Chemical Engineering.
