The chemical engineering association is aimed at inculcating the spirit of teamwork and developing leadership qualities among the students. It organises industrial visits and technical discussions and encourages students to take part in national level technical competitions.

The Entrepreneurship Development Forum gives the students an opportunity to understand the working and management of industries. It gives students the required training from the product development to the final marketing stage. The forum made 'socleen' detergent to be marketed in the campus.

The student chapter of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers is very active and conducts technical sessions and professional awareness campaigns and conferences.

Alcheme is conceived as a forum for active interaction between alumni, students and staff of chemical engineering department. Alcheme'03 was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering and was hosted by the students and staff of the Department on 27th April, 2003. It was not just an alumni get-together, but was an informal interactive session between the chemical engineering alumni and students of the Department, in which a good number of alumni participated with their families. Alcheme '03 provided an occasion for a nostalgic walk down memory lane cherishing memorable moments of student-life.

The Chemical Engineering Association organized on 29th and 30th march 2005, a national level technical meet - genesis 2005 in which students from various engineering colleges in the country actively participated. The paper presentation contest and different informal technical programs organized as part of genesis 2005 earned wide acclaim
